Why Your GBP Gets Views But Zero Calls — And How to Fix It
-
I've been helping local businesses with their Google Business Profile for a while now, and one pattern keeps repeating:
Lots of profile views. Barely any calls or enquiries.
Here's what I usually find when I audit them:
-
No clear call-to-action in the description
Most profiles just describe the business. They don't tell the visitor what to do next. Add one line like "Call us now for a free quote" and watch your call rate improve. -
Services aren't written the way customers search
If you're a plumber and your service says "Plumbing Solutions" that's not how anyone searches. Write "Emergency Plumber Burst Pipes, Leaks, Boiler Repair" instead. -
Photos are old or stock images
Real photos of your team, your work, and your location build trust instantly. Stock images do the opposite. -
No recent reviews
A profile with the last review from 8 months ago looks like the business might be closed. Actively ask happy customers to leave a review after every job.
Has anyone else noticed this gap between views and actual leads? What worked for you?
